A;lt + Tab not switching between programs

Aug 5, 2005 6:50PM PDT

The current computer I'm working on doesn't switch between windows programs when using the Alt + Tab keys

It's annoying

The computers using Windows 2000/ME

If there's an easy way to switch this back on, it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mel

It's called Task Switching, but I can find very little help from Microsoft's Knowledge Base or in Google where Task Switching has failed to work.

Can you give more details on the problem?

Has Alt+Tab ever worked? If so, when did it stop working?

Did you install any programs, screen savers, ''anything'' around the time it stopped working?

I don't know the answer, but perhaps someone else here does.

More Details...
Aug 6, 2005 3:04PM PDT

Actually, it's the first time I've used the computer so I can't rightly say if 'Task Switching' ever functioned for it using Alt+Tab.

However, every other computer I've ever used in the last 3-5+ years has been able to do this, so it does seem strange.

Maybe one of the programs installed on the computer has effected this function but then it becomes - where do I start? I have no idea which, if any of the programs would be more likely to cause such a problem.

From my perspective, I haven't installed any new programs or otherwise since using the computer.

Hmm...Sounds like this isn't a very common problem at all.

Thanks for your response MarkFlax. Hopefully you're right and someone can help me out.
