A Little Girl's World

Mar 12, 2004 11:52PM PST

I ran across this on a Photography Forum:

Yesterday on my way to drop my daughter (5) off at preschool she was especially inquisitive.

I remembered about 1/2 the questions she asked.
Here are the ones I remember:

Welcome to Bergen's World:
(please do not comment on the religious questions, thank you)

Daddy, what's a heart attack?
Do little kids get heart attacks?
Oh, what about babies?
So Anya won't get a heart attack?
What happens when you get a heart attack?
Does everyone die when they have a heart attacks?
Oh. What happens when we die?
Does anyone come with us when we die?
Oh. Then do we see anyone in heaven?
Jesus is in heaven, right?
Jesus was a real man, you know, dad.
Did Jesus get hurt when he died?
Jesus didn't get mad at the people on the cross, you know?
Daddy, why do we always stop at the coffee shop?
Daddy, would you zip my zipper up?
Why do you get coffee and we don't get anything?
Daddy, did you know that Aunt Sandy's oldest boy knows how to drive a car if a big person is with him?
How come he can now drive without a big people?
What's a driver's license?
Why did Aunt Sandy have 3 boys and then a gril?
Aunt Sandy was pregnant 4 times, right?
Why was Lexi a girl but none of the others were?
Daddy, how did Aunt Sandy get pregnant? **masterful job done by dad to change the subject**
Daddy, how do these people get their voices on the radio?
What are they talking about?
We don't have that much snow daddy.
Daddy, how come girls never sing on the radio?
Daddy, how come Signey gets to live right next to school and we don't?
Daddy, why are their signs all around the road?
Then why do some of them have pictures on them?
What's an advertisement?
Oh. Can we go the Clifford display at the Children's Museum sometime?
When?
Daddy, Oliver didn't throw up in the car today.

*sigh*

Welcome to my precious world. Happy Happy Friday.

Precious is right. All my grandchildren were boys and I prayed for a girl grandchild but it never happened untill the great grandkids. And it makes me so happy. Love the grandboys but the great grand daughter is the crowning jewel.

And attitude to go with it, LOL. She's a sweetheart though, but more a Momma's baby.

Momma is #1 in her book. My oldest was exactly the other way, a Daddy's girl, and she and the youngest favor each other in looks and personality.
