Get a mobile workstation w/ ATI FireGL Graphics

ATI has been the leader in professional workstation graphics from some time. nVidia makes excellent gaming cards, but for serious 3D "work," I'd definitely chose a laptop with ATI FireGL graphics.

I agree

Nothing to add.

ATi FireGL GPUs are the leading edge in 3D programming and 3D work.

The equivalent is the Quadro serie on the nVIDIA side.

You can find Quadro at Dell on the Latitude line while HP offers the FireGL.
