a good document scanner?

Aug 2, 2006 3:07AM PDT

does anyone know a good, profesional document scanner? somewhere in the price range of 1500 to 2500?. I need it for archiving documents -- either to tiff or pdf. It should be fast (at least 40ppm), be able to do duplex scanning, auto OCR a plus but not required. I looked at the Scan Station 100 from Kodak but it's slow to start, work only on a Windows network (I'm on Novell), and while it's nice to have all the functionality on a touch screen, I found it somewhat restrictive after a while. If anyone has any idea about the Canon DR-3080CII I'd appreciate input.
cheers,
Froggy
