A good case for an iPhone

Jan 19, 2009 1:42AM PST

First let I'll apologize for posting on an item that might have already been discussed....feel free to refer me to other posts if this is the case.

I just bought an iPhone and would like a recommendation on a case for it. As usual I bought a cheapo case at the store as the staff there are only seem to be REALLY interested in selling the big ticket items. Now that I have spent the $$ on the iPhone I would like to protect it.

One item of preferance is my husband also has an iPhone & was looking for a colored case so we can tell eachothers apart easily (his case is black).

Thanks!

A Good Protective Case For An Iphone

There are all kinds of cases made for the iPhone. Some are made of hard plastic, some are rubber. There are even carbon fiber cases. The regular prices for these cases are outrages, starting at $19 and going as high as $80. Most of them will not protect the phone if dropped in water or dropped over 3 feet onto concrete. I have used a leather wallet (mini purse) for 2 years. This wallet has 3 zipper compartments. One fits the phone. One compartment holds my license and credit cards. The third zipper holds my money. This wallet cost $10 and was bought at a leather shop. Why so cheap? Because the wallet wasn't designed for an iPhone. But guess what, the phone has been dropped in the wallet a few times with no harm. It hit water once (not a lot) and was fine.
If you have to have a pretty case, look at them at Best Buy or on the Internet. Also, go on WOOT.com, sometimes they sell some of these cases for a quarter.
