a funny thing happened

Jun 10, 2005 10:46AM PDT

turned on my pc (windows xp, sp2, p4 3ghz, 80 gb hd, 1 gb ram) and an error message said it couldn't locate msvcp.dll and couldn't connect to aol. tinkered and played. searched pc and it was there but os couldn't find it. noticed the prefetch tray was using 50% cpu!so turned it off for about 20 min. rebooted, went to another user, hit aol, it flashed and whistled and bam every thing was hunky-dory on all users. don't know how or why, maybe just a quirk of xp. thought y'all might like to hear about it.
