Risks on the internet

In the past, the classic virus which attached itself to other programs was the only major concern. In today's Internet environment, a new kind of menace which is especially made for attacks on the Internet are much more dangerous. Every computer on the web is vulnerable. Two categories of harmful code have become more important in the last two years: Worms and Trojan Horses. Beside this, there are also special tools and programs freely available which can be used by attackers to damage or hack other computers. Once infected, even unwilling computer can further the attacks or infection. Such harmful tools are called Malware. The term was created by a combination of "malicious" and "software".

Scanning is smooth. No false positive (at least here). It is using 3 Scanner plugin and it loaded 15,526 signatures. Can select which drive or folder to scan. Scanned 60,000+ of files in 17 minutes (Have to use my timer). Scan report can be saved as .HTML file. I only see 'No Malware files found" in the scan report. Scan report does not show the time the scan started or finished or the total # of files of scanned like we usually see in AV or AT scanners. Can only see Scanning Statistics during the scan. I think it is not scanning compressed files.

Looking good.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the notice on this program and the recent info. Happy

Before waiting for a response and before seeing your reply, I downloaded and registered. Now I'm running the program.

It says that there are 3 Scanner plugins and 15526 signatures loaded. I checked to scan everything available in the window except the CD/DVD and A (floppy) drives.

At the rate the progress meter is going, it will take some time to complete even though I'm using less than 2.5 GB of my HD.
