A file (i think is a virus) downloaded into DVD Drive

May 4, 2016 1:54PM PDT

Today I was browsing the web and i accidentally clicked an ad. Something downloaded without me noticing and i saw the 'Download finished' icon in Firefox. I pressed the download to see what it was and it opened up my file explorer which showed a file in 'Dvd drive F'. But I only have DVD drive E. My laptop never had a dvd drive F and i know that. I right clicked and pressed eject and it disappeared. Im not quite sure if it's completely gone though. Sadly, i have no images or snapshots of this issue. Any help is appreciated.

Step 1. Backup what you can't lose.

Basically what happened

was the file was mounted as a drive and it labeled it the F drive. I've done this with the Windows 10 ISO file when I ran the DISM command to replace corrupt system files. What I did was clocked the ISO and it automatically mounted to the first open drive letter. To remove the drive I hit eject and it went away.
