General discussion

A fan of Firefox

Dec 2, 2004 2:25AM PST

I am really enjoying using Firefox. Since I started using it, AdAware and Spybot have not had much to do, nor, as far as I am aware, has Norton AntiVirus. I guess I can't be sure how much of this to attribute to Firefox and how much to SpywareBlaster(which catches the culprits before they get in the door), but in any event it is a different experience that before I had those two watchdogs. In case you're interested, I don't have the URL handy but you can Google firefox and SpywareBlaster, both free. There is a lot of advice out there to consider Firefox as being more secure than IE. grandpaw

In use both IE and Netscape and since I started running Spyware Blaster, I don't have any spyware. I don't even get tracking cookies. So, I'll bet it is Spyware Balster and not Firefox that is responsible for your clean machine.

Cutting edge? The web pages basically look the same no matter what browser you use. I'm convinced the key is protecting your computer, not the browser you use.

If you think that, you have never used Firefox with the Adblock extension!!!
It changes the way you see the web, how would you like to see every webpage you look at without ads or banners or any stupid macromedia flash banners. You basically get to see the web the way you want to not the way the advertisers want you to.

P.S. Darn it, with my memory, I can barely remember my own name, much less yours.
