A different Hotmail from FF problem

by GoodHart / December 14, 2004 7:09 AM PST

I posted this on another forum also, and am looking for an answer:

I have only recently made some attempts at using FF and Opera (have had IE6 for quite awhile now).
On my lowly Win98 based 500MHz machine, I thought I would see some improvement.

FF loaded faster for me, than either Opera or IE6. However, since I am at home, I rarely do much more than go into my Hotmail and Earthlink email (with an occasional trip to a MSM message board).

FF either will not, or can not accomodate the RTF I am accustomed to in Hotmail and Earthlink Email. It only allows me "monospaced" text.
Is there a setting I am missing ? Or is that functionality not there yet ?

Currently, and because of this seeming lack, I have been beta testing DHTML/XML pages I construct with both FF and Opera and that is about the extent of my use.
My wife, at first was very excited about FF, but after going into Ebay a few times with it, and trying to load pictures and such into her auctions, she gave up and is back to using IE again.

If I am missing something and there is a setting I need to change I would appreciate any help anyone could give.
