A case of Coors Light a day for eight years!

Anyone seen this before? Anyone else doing this?

BEER

A seemingly unbelievable mess discovered last year in an Ogden townhouse has suddenly become an Internet legend.

It's all TRUE!

You know how some people, after they use something, just can't bear to throw it away. That might make sense if it's magazines or clothes. But what if it's empty beer cans? In astounding numbers?

The way it works here ...

is that you get a return only if the can is bought in a deposit state (stamped on the lid) so presumably you paid a deposit. Now since most of the beverages sold in my part of New Hampshire (a no deposit state) are distributed through Massachusetts (a deposit state) folks in New Hampshire can get a free nickel for every can they buy if they return it in a deposit state (like Vermont, about seven miles from my house).

So it depends where you bought it and where you return it. And some states only have deposits for soft drinks.

Comes to a little over ten bucks a month for me.

Let me amend that...

You get a return only if the can is stamped by a deposit state. They don't know where you bought it and probably don't care.
