A break from CES and Macworld for 1 post

by kellenjb / January 10, 2007 12:40 PM PST

Does anyone know of a foot pedal that can advance PowerPoint slides? I am looking for something that can be placed on a stage which is about 50' from the computer. Are there any wireless options?

I know this is an odd request but it for someone who wants to be able to play piano while advancing the slides that have the lyrics... I just know I am not that talent.

Isn't the congregation supposed to already know the words? Just do what my childhood church did: don't sing. They were Quaker. But I forgive them.

You could just tape a standard remote-clicker to the floor and step on it. I've never heard of a pedal though.

I have seen pedals before

The congregation might know the words but what about people who are new or what about new songs?

Anyways, I have seen footpedals used that go through a midi connection then to USB. The problem is that was connected to a laptop 5 feet away. I do not believe USB would travel as far as we need it. The taping the remote to the floor idea isn't the greatest. The buttons on those things are small and would be hard to hit.
