Question

A block of screen tearing in the middle of the screen

Mar 9, 2018 4:13PM PST

Hi all,

I have a 970m gpu and an i7-4760 running on msi notebook. Recently I have started to notice horizontal screen tearing in my games and I've tried many ways to fix them but non have worked including vertical sync. I also recently found that there is a about 600px x 1000px of screen which stutters and tears when I watch netflix or play games. Am I missing something apparent or is the computer just getting old?

Thanks!

More details please. Have you cleaned inside with canned air, and renewed thermal paste on heatsinks?

Be sure to disable Microsoft driver updates then try versions from the maker.
