A better screensaver

by bruvensky / February 5, 2010 2:32 AM PST

I use the screensaver that comes with Windows. I have it set to a folder with lots of photos, but it always starts with the same ones when it has thousands to choose from. What are some better screensaver programs? A search will pull up lots to choose from, but I am not familiar with them, plus I don't know how safe all these sites are.

Go into the settings for your photo screen saver and make sure the "shuffle photos" box is checked.

I have XP, and I can't find the feature that you mention for shuffling photos. Does XP have it and where is it exactly?

Jeff's suggestion is good.
Something I do, I usually have one favorite, I just rename it so the name begins with "AAA" or "A1" . That puts it at the top of the folder.
You didn't say what OS you have. I have W7, and I wanted to see the pic "move" like Vista does. I am running "Google Photo ScreenSaver". It pleases me.
