A and E drives disappear

I have Toshiba satalite 2520CD with windows 98.I used partition magic to merge my laptop harddrive.
When I restarted (after the merge)the laptop screen change into the same clour as it was on safe mode, A (floppy drive)and F (cd-room drive)couldn't read. Even I could not see them on windows explorer (I could see them when I run safe mode). Can any one help. Thanks

Look for UPPERFILTERS and LOWERFILTERS in the registry and remove them. You can research on google.com why this is the common cure.
