OK ALL YOU JEEP PEOPLE HERE IS A CURVE BALL FOR YOU.
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sport 4.0L . A couple of months ago it JUST QUIT at a stop light . It turns over just fine. So I started with the simple and have worked my way up ( almost at insane now). I checked NO Spark, No matter what I do still no spark. I have Replaced the relay, the coil, the Crank sensor, the Cam sensor, took the PCM in to dealer to be checked (it is OK), have Ground off PCM bolts and placed rubber washers under thePCM. I have checked voltages Every where but the coil checks good. Have exchanged coils with a friend same jeep so I know it is not the coil as it works fine in his car.
I have undone wire lumes and checked for shorts and bare wires (only one was on coil about 2" long wires melted together and repaired hence checking looms for moe damage). But there is still no spark and no voltage at coil. I am on disability so I wait on my monthly check to try and buy parts. If it was not for the fact it is my wifes carand we need a car I would have checked the gas with a match. But now we are into it deep to not get it running. ANY IDEAS on what it could be. I need to get it running as we live in Bullhead City AZ and this time of yerar with the rains you need 4x4 to get around. HELP!!!
