It still could be bad plug or wire on that cylinder replace them again. Even new ones can be lemons. See if the plug gap is set to specification. I'm wondering about that mechanic of yours, hmmmmm.
Maintenance ???? Use fuel injector cleaner every six-eight months. Most gas stations carry it for about $3.00 (US). Just add a bottle when you fill up the tank. When was the last time you had it tuned up and the filters replaced? Do this annually in the Fall before Winter if in a cold climate, in Spring in hot.
If these fail find a new mechanic or find a "precision tune".

I hope damian007 can help me with my problem. Two weeks ago my jeep began to idle roughly and within 3 days it began stalling on idle and at stop lights. Took it to mechanic who found injector#2 was blocked so replaced injectors still ran rough.Mechanic then did compression test and found compression good on all 6cyls.Upon further tests mechanic tells me that #2 cylinder does not work which explains the rich petrol smell on idle...since then he cannot find why there is no spark,,he replaced all sparkplugs which were all changed 3months ago on service anyway but still have problem. Checked the leads dont know what else it could be he thinks it might be a map sensor and said he will try 2moro..i also advised him of the idle control valve he cleaned this up but still have problem can you pls give me some advice to give him thanx
