Read too many horror stories with this setup, if check valve is between regulator and fuel rail, can cause overpressure and blow the gas line, potential fire in engine compartment, must be between source (tank) and regulator, since mine is "in tank", not an option.
Looking for two answers, main one now is why the pump doesn't prime at key on, verified with pressure gauge, nothing happens with key on, but once started 39 psi ...
Looking for advice, just replaced fuel pump and in tank pressure regulator, was 15 psi, would idle but not drive, now running 40 psi when running. Problem, seems to be no check valve to keep pressure, but I can put an in line in for that, however I do not get the "prime" of the pump at key on.. not sure it every did, looking for advice on electrical circuit that drive "priming the pump" at key on. Right now takes three tries to get started since starter and pump are fighting for battery voltage
