Hi,
I've a '96 Grand Cherokee Limited 4ltr petrol, it ran fine up to a week ago - OK, well other than the fact I don't use it a lot, and the flat battery is a common problem I get if it stands idle for over a week.
I then found a completely flat battery which failed to charge. After replacing the battery with an new checked and fully charged one (genuine mopar replacement from jeep), it won't even attempt to start. I checked the immobilizer light is going off OK, and lights, radio, remote locking all work fine. Key in the ignition and dash lights up OK, normal beeping noises, check lights ok, but when I turn the ignition key to the start I get nothing at all. It's like the immobilizer is still on.
I've disconnected the battery a couple of times and reconnected to no avail, checked all the fuses, even swapped the starter relay with another one.....
Anyone, got any bright ideas..... please????
