95 Jeep grand cherokee starting troubles

My 95 jeep zj will run perfect on a 45 minute trip from home to the family land but after periodically driving it in the city after it is shut off and started back up 5-6 times on the 6th try it will not start. It will just turn and turn but if it sits for a while it will start up and run like a champ. Check engine light isn't on, so I don't know. I am stumped changed cap, rotor looked fine, new wires, & ignition coil. Doesn't happen much but I would love to get this problem resolved.
