850's Out of Stock

Feb 12, 2009 8:38AM PST

I been reading that a more then a few people have been at their local BB store and they have been out of stock the 850 series samsung. people say they are holding back the product so prices can go up or stay the same at its high value

I was hoping maybe someone from samsung could asnwer a couple questions on this.

1: why is BB stores all of a sudden out of stock?

2: will any of the newer made 850's "a 2009 manufac. date" Have the new inverter boards installed?
I read issues where people had tech's come out and they replaced the inverter boards and things worked perfect. will these boards techs are installing start to be installed in new builds soon?

the reason i asked about the inverter boards being changed in newer builds is because i noticed in pictures the newer boards were a different color.

Lascivious1,

Welcome to the forum.

There is always speculation when units are out of stock, and then also when units are plentiful and on sale. This is usually because the retailer may not have anticipated the demand correctly.

I can't speak to manufacturing, but the issue has been addressed. I can't tell you if you will or won't receive a unit that experiences the same symptoms, but in the event that you do, we will service the unit.
