Question

8400gs pci-x vs gt430 pci

Sep 2, 2017 10:25PM PDT

Which one is better for playing video at 1920 x 1200 resolution?

I found that 9500gt pci is worse than intel g35 express chipset at 1920 x 1200.

The 9500 should have been better than the g35.
Perhaps you have something else wrong.

Both 9500gt and gt430 are pci(not pci-e) and the 8400gs is pci-e(a typing error in previous post). Gt430 still wins? How much does the performance gain(gt430 pci over 8400gs pci-e)?

I don't know what's wrong with 9500, maybe driver or motherboard issues. My videos play in slow motion with 9500gt but normal with g35. (No other pci cards installed in the motherboard.)

Pci vs pcie
Sep 4, 2017 6:10PM PDT

That changes the mix.
It would be best to use the pcie bus for a video card
If you try to push serious data through the pci bus it will be slow.

My answer above was based on 2 pcie cards.
