802.1X Issues

by hunterfrederick / August 31, 2007 8:29 AM PDT

Hello I have a SMC Wireless Router and I am trying to set up Wireless Internet. I can connect to the internet but when I log into (via the internet) the router to change the security settings (I want to use WAP) it tells me I need to turn on 802.1X first, so I go turn it on and it freezes I get kicked off the internet in the process of doing that every-time. I am guessing that my network gets confused when I try to turn 802.1X on.

So is there a way to turn on WAP with out 802.1X? or How do I fix this?

Thanks!
