7zip file

Hi everyone, a newbey issue here and it might be dumb but here it is. I downloaded a 7zip file and want to open it , I tried to with another program called 7zip but I couldn't get it to work and uninstalled it. Is there an easy free program for dummies to use thanks ..Digger

Grin I didn't know that the zip file was passworded I looked in my e-mail and there it was. 7zip works just fine , thanks anyway..Digger

It's not so much of a newbie issue. A program such as 7zip can open ZIP files, and all you do is extract it. Just open with 7zip and then press EXTRACT button, then extract it to where you want. It will put a new folder or no folders and put the files into it. Then, you use it. If it fails to load the file, I use another app, WinZip. It worked good so far.

Hey, one more thing. DO NOT UNINSTALL THE 7zip. It could be the file, or a malware attack. Beware for DORMANT MALWARE on Zip files! Bye now.
