by Terry Browne / November 7, 2008 9:21 AM PST

Is there any PQ difference between the two sets? I know the 850 is slimmer. But PQ?

Pretty comparable.

The picture quality between the two panels some pretty comparable. The 850 has a few upgrades such as a secondary remote, a swivel stand and of course, the thin design.

The best determination is you. Check them out at the retail store to see if you see a difference, and then weigh that in your purchasing decision.

No Contest - 850 a winner!

PQ seemed to be about the same, 850 maybe a little brighter. But the 750 has this big, wide, thick, ugly frame (with the infamous 'halo' issue). The 850 has a thin, narrow frame/bezel that is just beautiful! Consumers Reports rated the LN52A650 #1, and the 750, #2. Even though the 750 has an added sub-woofer, they thought the 650 had better sound. I have a hearing problem and wear headphones, so SQ is a non-issue for me. I wanted the additional features of the 750, but not the ugly frame, so I bought a LN52A850. I love it!
My earlier post (see LN52A850 vs FIOS STB) refers to an HDMI / Set Top Box 'handshake' problem, but that seems to be a Samsung-wide issue, and have no replies yet.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
