720p TV 1080i HiDEF Camcorder

by kStevenF / October 18, 2007 5:58 AM PDT

I am planning to buy a High Def camcorder, some are 720p (Sanyo) and some are 1080i (Canon, Sony, etc.). My TV is a Sanyo with 720p. My Q: will a 1080i camcorder work fine with my 720p TV or I have to buy a 720p camcorder?

Thanks,

Steven

Do you have hi-def cable or satellite? They broadcast in 1080. Can you watch them?

Your HDTV will downscale the 1080i to 720p. John

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
