700m Safe mode problem

When I boot into safe mode, the screen is black and I can't do anything, it shows the windows build, but that's it.

Anyone know about this problem?

Also, kind of random, but...
Also, anyone know about a program that will record from your computer directly into mp3 format?

You can look at safe mode or boot issues at http://support.microsoft.com since there are articles specific to each OS

2. Look at AUDACITY (google.com)

The Windows XP Forum. Your issue has been covered dozens of times. As to the URL I noted, I know that finding the right article is tough. At least the XP Forum has tackled and resolved the safe mode only boot issue dozens of times.
