Sony's video processing looks to be a step above.
I recently purchased a Sony 850C 4K 3D 65" TV, and I've been happy with it. However, when I came across an amazing deal on a LG 65" 4K 3D OLED, I had to have it. I've been planning to sell my Sony, but after comparing both sets side-by-side, I have a big concern.
The OLED kicks the Sony's butt when it comes to sports and side viewing clarity. It's also better when viewing basic TV programming. On 4k programming, the quality is much closer between the two, with the exception of the side viewing, as stated above. Where Sony is absolutely better is when there is a scene involving a slow camera pan or a close-up of a person's face that is moving. Such scenes stay crystal clean/smooth on the Sony. However, the OLED shows major judder and blur, and it's quite distracting. I've tried all the settings within TruMotion, but there seems to not be a fix unless I want the "soap opera" effect. Any suggestions that could help alleviate this problem. It may cause me to stick with my Sony if it can't be corrected.
