Question

65" curved screen with dark areas and bright spot

Sep 29, 2017 11:02AM PDT

We just moved and when the 65" plasma curved screen was first turned on, a bright spot (about 6" across) appeared at the base of the picture, and a dark spot the same width runs up the center of the screen. These both run through dead center of the screen at the center of the curve. Could improper packing cause this? Is this common or is it fixable? Thanks! TV is less than a year old.

Not a plasma but LED/LCD
Sep 29, 2017 11:30AM PDT

I'm sorry to hear that Sad.

Truth be told, it's not a plasma, but an LED/LCD. The only way to be certain is to have it take to an authorized repair center. If it's still under warranty (=get it looked at quickly!), by no means mention that you ever moved the tv. This will instantly void the warranty and you will be blamed for the damage.

Good luck.
