640 or 720 x 480 for NTSC?

Feb 5, 2005 10:15AM PST

When editing and cropping photos for a slide show which will go on a DVD (NTSC), would it be best to make the images 720 x 480 to start with or 640 x 480? Does it matter? If so, why?

I have actually done both and cannot see any difference in the final picture on the TV. If anyone can point me to any good web material explaining this, I'd be much obliged.

Read up about NTSC. It's a "standard" that is immutable.
