52a650 red dots

Hi,

Hi have a samsung 52a650 lcd concted to my pc (gforce 8800gt), and when i wtch mkv files, i se a lot of red dots in dark scenes and faces, and they dont apear in my frieds house, any clue for a solution?

FacundoBac,

If it's just happening on the MKV files, it may be the rendering that is causing this. I'm not sure why this would happen, but does your friend have the same exact televison?

no, in his house, the television is panasonic, and it is conected to a plystation 3, i have gone in to a lot of diferent configuarations and codecs (I am using media portal) but cant get rid of the red dots. what configuration do you use?

FacundoBac,

It may be the video rendering difference on the PC vs. the PS3.

Does it happen regardless if you input the signal via 15-pin VGA, or are you going through the WiseLink ehternet connection? The WiseLink doesn't support MKV, but the manual does list the files that WiseLink will support.
