5084 plasma no picture

htp5084x/xaa build date: sept.07 mod. 55ex500

tv was on working perfect, left the room, came back, no picture.
audio comes from sat. reciever to home theater a/v reciever, via the hdmi cable. sound works fine.
turn on, get the start up sound, then nothing. no clicking, just no picture.

I love this set, everytime I turned it on I was impressed even after two years. -- I gotta have big high def., knowing i was down for the count , I bought a sony bravda 55" lcd. I have to fix the plasma,
i would rather have the smaller 50" plasma. I've researched the utube capaciter fixes, took off the back panel, there weren't any visable bad capaciters.
I've searched the net and this forum without much luck in finding the fix, mine does'nt click, i can fix anything with the proper education.

In reply to: when I find a fix

mr mctavish,

It's a unique problem in that there are a number of variables that are unknown.

If, when you find a fix you'd like to post it, I'd be happy to read it. But based on the information given, I don't know why the television would go black.

I'd recommend having a service technician inspect the unit. That way, they can see what the problem might be.
