Mar 17, 2014 1:06AM PDT

hey everyone i was wondering if anyone has come across the same problem as me??
I have an Lg 42" smart tv 42LA620V-ZA which untill recently i have had no problems with..
Since the 20th of Feb this year 5 on demand has stopped updating!! It is stuck on the 20th of Feb and wont go any further..
I have tried to factory reset, re installed premium service with no luck..
I have contacted Lg who typically switched blame to 5od, I have since contacted them with no reply..
This is so frustrating as its a service i use a lot..
Can anyone help me out on this???
Thanks in advance...

I have to agree with LG on this one.

If an author or provider bombs then it's not LG's to fix. Take it up with the author/provider. If this is a deal breaker why keep the set?

It's getting rough on consumers as their TV turns into a PC. That is, if an app doesn't work on your Dell you usually don't work with Dell but the author/provider of the app. This is a big change that will be rough on everyone as they sort it out.

im keeping the set because they are expensive and i dont have the money to chop and change televisions..

Thanks for your comment but it was more advice on how to fix the issue, not cover what i already know i was looking for..

It may not be fixable.

It's like your PC and you find an app no longer works. The author bails on you and what can you do about it? In the case of the PC you get some other app but in this case it appears that it's a media company (5) that has bailed. It's there content so if you want to pursue this, call them directly.
