Is one of the few TVs that "might" pass 5.1 sound. It still varies a lot so you test it and if it fails chalk it up as another TV that doesn't pass 5.1.
No one tests this feature so you get to do that test. Same goes for playing via the USB port. Unless the next person has your setup, they can't answer but only guess.
I've Sony Bravia KD-43X7500E 43" TV and an old home-theater speaker-system which has only RCA audio inputs (5.1). I want to know how can I get the surround sound through these speakers when playing 5.1 movies from pendrives.
Here's this TV's manual: https://goo.gl/egVZEE
Can I use this audio extractor device to get the surround sound? https://goo.gl/KNhmu6
This device has only one input that is HDMI IN. If an HDMI cable is connected from TV's HDMI-ARC to this device's HDMI IN will the speakers produce surround sound?
Or what about this one? https://goo.gl/kBpeZf
The TV has Optical Digital Audio Output. Will it be good if an optical cable is connected from the TV's port and to this device's SPDIF port?
These have to work only if the 5.1 movie is played from the pendrive which is connected directly to the TV's USB input.
