5.1 setup with SB live

Nov 28, 2004 5:58AM PST

I just bought a SB live 5.1 audio card and Logitech speakers. I am using Intervideo windvd 6. I can only get sound from 2 the front right and left speakers. Have I installed something wrong? Are there adjustments you have to make to get the card into the 5.1 mode?

Also is there a set disc or program similar to regular home theater set up where you can test the speakers. Go from left to center to right and so on.

Thanks, Gary

where they are in SB Live. In my Audigy 2, they are in the EOS Console.

First though, how is the sound card connected to the speakers? Are there three speaker cables or one?

also I have tried to update the drivers from Creative and when I try and run them I get an error message which say that no sound blaster cards are detected on this system. In my device manager I have audio codecs, legacy audio drives, legacy video capture devices, media contral devices, sound blaster live! 24-bit and video codecs listed under sound, video and game controllers.
