Let me start off by saying I know very little about computers, my current desktop is freezing up and the screen turns a white or cream colour and I have to turn it off manually.
It runs extremely slowly and I've had it for roughly 4 years.
When I restart it, there's a harsh constant pitch beep or beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sound and it refuses to turn back on until I manully jiggle the ram and/or video card, then it turns back on. Now this freezing up business only happens maybe once a fortnight but when it does happen it will happen maybe 3 times at once.
So far as I can tell it's not overheating, as there's 2 fans, my friends who are slightly more computer literate than I, think it is HDD, video card or Graphics card related, I thought it might be ram related.
The only thing that's been replaced is the power supply.
As I said I know very little and am looking to fix the freezing and also make it run faster without replacing the entire system, just what it needs.
Below is a list of components, thank you so much for your time/help.
