AFAIK, even many of the $800-1000 matrix switches @ Monoprice.com (staple for hdtv gear) do not yet fully support HDR, if at all. YMMV. Even having all ports compatible with HDCP 2.2 is apparently not common in the $100-200 price point. Call them, then if you need more info, inquire @ AVS forums. More nuance there.
Ok, so I posted a topic a few days ago that was really confusing I'm sure, because I could not figure out how to word what I was trying to do. Well, bottom line is i found the solution ,I believe, in what is called a Matrix Switch.
My new problem is that I have 2 tvs, exact same model that are 4k 60hz UHD 10 and I rent 4k movies, use what 4k Netflix there is so far and use Xbox 1s in 4k, also plan on buying an Xbox 1 x down the road.
I would like to future proof myself by buying a Matrix that is good enough to cover my tvs abilities until newer tvs bring even better things down the road....but i can't even find a Matrix that supports current tv market specs.
How can it be that an entire industry is behind by atleast 1-2 years? I'm really confused, do they make hdcp 2.2 compatible matrices that aren't commercial grade and cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars?
I'd like to stay under 200 dollars and I'm just looking for a 4 in 2 out. It's for a 2 tv game room/media room setup...that is my minimum on the out ports, I can flex with the ins.
I've searched for hours, read blogs, watched youtube videos, checked a lot of online electronic vendors...whats the deal?
2018 and I'm the only guy with a multi-tv game/media room in 4k?
HELP!
