Question

4k file formats best for TV playback

Hello,
I've recently just bought a Sony kd55xd9305 55inch 4k tv. A friend of mine has gave me two files on a portable hard drive to watch on 4k. As my Internet is very poor streaming 4k is out of the question at the moment. The two files were planet earth in 4k. However I'm having trouble playing it back on my TV. I have just plugged the hard drive straight into a USB port on the TV. The video itself looks incredible it's just really slow and choppy. The frame rate of the file is only 25 but it should not be like this. The exact file type is : planet earth x265 3840x2160 25fps BT2020 HDR

Is there a specific file type which works absolutely fine for TVs? Thanks
