by dotcomfreak / October 27, 2012 5:30 AM PDT

Hi needing help with my Samsung 46D8000. It connects fine to wifi router. I can access the internet and download apps through the SMART hub however I cant seem to find the TV through my android phone or through the Allshare software or even through Windows Network.

Can anyone shed a light to what I'm doing wrong?

Turn off the firewall in the router and the PC. As this is a TV and not a PC I don't expect it to show on the Windows Network.

Firewalls off!

Firewalls turned off on both router and the pc. My friend has the same TV and it shows up with Network as [TV[46D8000 as a media device. Thinking issue with router though the TV can see the router in the Allshare app on the TV.

It is a Belkin PlayMax F7D3402 v1.
Laptop and Computer both running Windows 7 Ultimate both connected to a Homegroup.

It's not a PC and settings, routers and such matter. I'm finding too many folk trying to push a Smart TV as a PC replacement and consumers feeling burned at the results.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
