LCD (displays) tend to have less than perfect displays. When folk want more they need to shop for Plasma or even higher end displays with higher rates of refresh, better processing and higher dynamic ranges.
Nothing you wrote tells me it's defective.
I've been noticing something on my tv that is really starting to bug me. When there is any sort of camera panning on the films/tv shows that i watch these faint bars show up on the tv. They are 1/2" to 1" wide horizontal and vertical lines that look like shadows on the screen giving it a sort of checkerboard effect. When the image on the screen is very dark and i am standing in front of the tv looking down at it they are very apparent, almost like the back light is able to penetrate some parts of the screen more easily than others. The bars/lines are there all the time but are most apparent during scenes with alot of motion. They are subtle enough that my girlfriend doesnt notice them but they are starting to drive me up the wall. I exchanged a samsung c630 for this set and i did not see them on that tv. Is this normal with sony lcd tv's or could i have a defective unit? Thanks for any help you guys can give me.
