Almost in line with a plague called BAD CAPS. Repair runs from dollars to hundreds depending on what is wrong and the shop. If you do your own work you google BAD CAPS and do the inspection. If not, you get an estimate.
Bob
most times, when I turn the TV on, I get a black screen - after 5-10 seconds I get sound, but no picture. I have to turn the TV off and back on again - sometimes once, sometimes multiple times (the most being 9 times).
Also, there are a heap of vertical white lines across the screen for the first 30 mins to hour after I turn it on.
It seems like something with the display is on it's way out.
Is this repairable does anyone know? And what would it cost?
