$42/mo seems too much for internet

Jul 20, 2008 7:05AM PDT

I run a high-speed wireless network in my house from a cable modem. It all works fine and dandy. It's an all mac network. But sometimes I wonder if I'm paying too much. Any better suggestions? I know dialup is cheap (and slow), but it's out of the question because I don't have a landline. I own my own cable modem if that helps.

58 for cable and own my own modem.

It all depends on what you want. My cable is 10 Meg down, and one Meg up. Faster means more money.

You already know the answer to that.

You have no alternative..and thank god they are asking only $42 (which is not out of line).

This is kind of weired; a place where there is cable but yet no phone line (just thinking out loud).
