Question

4 monitors problem

Jan 4, 2015 5:54AM PST

Hi.
I'd like to connect 4 monitors on one graphics card. My 3 lcd (20 inc) each have VGA and DVI, and my fourth lcd (42 inc) only has an HDMI connector. My question is which graphics card should I buy for these monitors and how they should be connected.

3 lcd I would use for the programs, while the 42 inch LCD used for games.
important to me is that all monitors are connected to the graphics card, so that I do not have to always switched over cables and that I do not need to change display settings.

Now I have an Nvidia 9800gt now, I use 2 (20inc) and 42 inch LCD. working only two monitors, or a combination of 20 + 20 inc, or 20 + 42 inch LCD. I always have to change the display settings.

$ 320 is my max for the graphics.

What computer do you have? Multitask and games too? By any chance do video editing?

4 monitors problem

I'll buy a new computer soon, when I know what kind of graphics card should I buy. I'll use it for drawing programs and playing games.

why so many monitor for just one computer. Personally I think 2 is plenty...unless you are stock broker monitoring all the markets in the world at the same time. I am not into games but should one concentrate on that one monitor all the time...while you are playing (just curious). But I guess 4 monitors do look cool.

I think you'd need at least 2 video cards.

Radeon 290x XFX

The card is perfect, all monitors working. 2x 20inc connected over DVI on card, the third is connected through display port ( DVI - passive adapter : and its working) ,and 42inc connected via HDMI. Grin cheers !!!

If someone needs help with setting up the monitors, just ask, I see that there are lots of questions about how to solve the problem, which I had so far.
