General discussion

3G = Dial Up. 4g = ???

Jul 31, 2017 9:39PM PDT

I've had two 3g cards for almost 10 years, never had a problem with them. Due to the Verizon Access Manager being annoying, I created a Dial Up connection and its worked ever since. Recently thought, its not loading pages, both cards, so its not due to it malfunctioning. Its just really slow now.

I got a 4g card, much faster, but again, i need to get rid of Verizon Access Manager. The problem is that it wont accept being set as a Dial Up connection like 3g.

Does anyone know how to create a connection for this?

Its a Verizon USB card.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Where I am back at the carrier support counter. For me 3G is far faster than dialup (which topped out at 56 kilobaud.)

As to removing Verizon's manager, I'd use google as to how as well as how Verizon's notes.

why don't you uninstall it?

should be in the add/remove programs area where you can uninstall it. I remember in XP and W7 that's where it was able to be uninstalled.

I can uninstall Access manager, but then how do I connect online? It needs verizons software to connect. This is what im trying to have Windows do, but without verizons software. I have looked on google. but only 3g seems to have a solution.

I see most of your question now.

To me the current one looks like a stick that requires drivers. I'm declining to find a list of sticks then see if any have other driver and app packages. If you want to avoid V's software you may have to move to Linux or change to a hotspot model.
