3d software for advanced kitchen design?

by divebel / September 21, 2008 3:08 AM PDT

I am looking for a 3d software for mac, to better my design portfolio for client imaging, etc. A colleague uses 3d Studio Max but he is on PC, where as I am on mac. For work so far, I use a dedicated kitchen design software which is well-known in the industry, and it is pretty good, but I would really like to take my images/environments to the next level. The kitchens are very modern and unusual and with extra work on an advanced design software, they could really come alive.

I heard that Cinema 4d can be pretty good, but with so many different softwares to choose from out there, I am not quite sure which direction to head. I need to choose something that I know will create great results if I put the work in, but at the same time doesn't baffle me with science!!

I am on a macbookpro Mac OS X 10.5.4. - 2.5Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRam.

I would be really grateful for any advice.

Thanks for your time.

Hi Annabel,
Try I was first introduced to Punch software when I took graphic design classes in college. Punch has software priced for everyone from professional commercial architects to homeowners that simply want to add on a deck.
Hope this helps,

Personally, I really prefer using PC for designing stuff. You should check out 3D CAD Architecture 2. Great software, I can say and features are just awesome while the functionality is very user-friendly.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
