3D and blue ray

hey, i have a ps3, which has a blue ray. i want to buy avatar when it comes out, but is there going to be a blue ray 3d, is this possible, or am i stuck with 3d normal dvd. thanks

3D is dependent on the glasses which permit each eye

to see one frame independently of the next which is slightly out of register. and which gives you the 3D effect. I'd think you'd need an entirely different type of BluRay player with glasses that synchronize with the DVD and player.

Best to address this question to the net which is where you may pick up hints of how this will be managed. IMDb for example.

Avatar 3D Blu-ray Release

There will be 2 releases of Avatar Blu-ray, standard 2D version is going to be released on 22 April which is James Cameron's saying. Everybody is waiting for 3D release, according to a rumor it will be released on November 2010. But producer company says 3D version still is in concept stage and no word for any November release.
