37LG6000 LCD TV SCREEN PROBLEM

Hi folks, new to forums. I have a 37LG6000 Scarlet LCD TV. I was trying to get the USB port to recognise movie file's so accessed the hidden menu. By mistake I changed the title/model setting of the TV and it now thinks it's a different model.
The screen is just now blank and I can't see any images or the menu. The power, sound and backlight all work fine and I've clearly messed up the software and now can't see anything on the screen to change it.
Is it easier to just replace the board which contain's the software/brain of the TV so it then has the correct pre set firmware ? If so what board/part is this ?
TV is too good to scrap and hopefully I can fix it with someone's help.
