360 Shorty woes

Jul 13, 2010 3:03AM PDT

I've had my launch 360 for nearly five years...no problems, not even the infamous RROD that just about everyone else had. Only "issue" I have with it is the 20GB HD is full.

I've had my 360 Shorty for just over a week, and its optical drive has already eaten one disc (Half Life Orange Box) and now sounds absolutely horrible. And here I thought my PS3 Chubby was dreadfully noisy. Not good, Microsoft.

Not a happy camper. Back to the store you go.

Try...

Installing the game onto the HHD.
Also have the console flat, that will help protect that disks when it running on it, also the heat displaces better that way.

Sounds like you got a lemon, I just got the XBOX 360-S on the 14th & no problems. I have been with out an xbox for almost 2 waiting for this new somewhat smaller version, I must say I wish they put in a slot loader DVD drive.
