30gb 5th Generation iPod Classic, plays but no sound?

It passed all diagnostic tests EXCEPT the most important one! It will not play music (well, it shows the song is playing, but there is no sound). Is there any way to possibly fix it myself? If not, how much would you think it would cost to get it fixed? Thank you.

Sorry, no, I'm not saying to buy one but if you don't own and use such then I think the cheapest fix is the flat rate exchange at Apple.
