Call it in fast. But try another USB KEYBOARD as new machines can use those.
->Most common?
Not plugged into the keyboard connection. The PS2 mouse and keyboard connection look too similar. Check your work.

Compaq computer, two days old, was working fine. I decided to change mouses, and unplugged the old one while the computer was on (i know, my bad) it made a really loud beeeeeeeping noise until I turned the computer off (everything was frozen) and when I turned it back on, this error is coming up. It seems there is no power going to the keyboard (no lights, the F-buttons do not work) and the computer will not boot. I never even TOUCHED the keyboard jack or plug. I tried another keyboard with the same results, the bottom of the screen is saying F-1 to boot, but nothing is happening. Please help me!
